10 meetings, including 2 exit meetings, were held in January-July of the current year by the Committee. 99 issues, including 75 bills were reviewed.
The Members of the Committee drew special attention to the preparation of resolutions and motions as to the bills, which are under the authority of the Committee. Herein, appeals to the state bodies, scientific institutions and organizations, unities of employers and trade unions were widely used on practice. In order to adapt bills before the second reading, working groups were organized, in the work of which the People´s Deputies, representatives of the state bodies, trade unions and employer unions took part.
Verkhovna Rada according to the presentation of the Committee declared two Laws and one resolution. In particular, the Law "On Amendments to the Item 5 of the Law of Ukraine "On living wage" presented by the President of Ukraine. The document provides the disclosure of monthly calculations of living wage presented by the specially authorized central body of Executive power in the sphere of labor and social policy
Also, the Law "On Ratification of the Convention of International Labor Organization year1979 №153 about the duration of the working tome and rest periods in road transport" was adopted. The law is directed to rise the safety rate of traffic and social protection of drivers.
The draft of the Labour Code was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. The Committee is commissioned with the elaborating of the bill with the attraction of the representatives of the Cabinet on Ministers of Ukraine, Ukrainian trade unions and unions of employers and afterwards the bill is to be submitted to the consideration of Verkhovna Rada in second reading.
As was announced by the Committee more than 40 prepared bills are expected to be scrutinized by the parliament.
During the second session members of the Committee have scrutinized 6 issues concerning the implementation of Committees resolutions according to the issues of application of social standards and state guarantees in Ukraine; social policy and labour; status of wages payment on enterprises, organizations and institutions of all forms of ownership; application of the Law "On Basis of Social Protection of Homeless Citizens and Derelict Children" etc.
On initiative of the Committee, on the sixth of June of the current year the parliamentary hearings: "On the course of the Implementation in Ukraine European Social Charter (reviewed)" were held.
5 "round-table conferences" were held by the Committee, in course of which the bill on the system of collection and registration of the unitary social dues for the obligatory-for-all state social insurance; the draft of the Labour Code; the bill on obligatory-for-all state medical insurance etc. were conferred.
During the exit meetings the members of the Committee have scrutinized following issues :"On the activity effectiveness of the scientific-research institutes under the Ministry on Social Policy and Labour and establishment of the scientific exploitation" and on implementation of the statutes of the Law "On Basis of Social Protection of Homeless Citizens and Derelict Children." (in the part of the social protection of the citizens), moreover problems to be solved were determined.
The members of the Committee also took part in international conferences, "round-table meetings", congresses etc.
During the intersession period around 80 bills and resolutions are to be scrutinized by the Committee.
